Last year two of the XA students in our missional community invit-
ed us to love-bomb their friend Brendan. As we met for random game nights, meals in the dining court, wallyball games in our rec center, study tables, and more, we welcomed Brendan in. Along the way, students were sowing seeds of the gospel. He said that he was startng to see how much God loved him because of the way our community loved him. This year, God has contnued to draw Brendan to himself and water the seeds that were planted. He has been more actvely seeking to know God by atending a Bible study with a missional community and atending our weekly worship gathering. At our fall retreat, Brendan was bombarded with the truth of how the gospel trans- forms our identty and purpose. During the fnal session, we heard a message about our covenant-making Goda greater party mak- ing a binding agreement with a lesser party. Before taking com- munion, the speaker advised anyone who has not put their faith in Christ to observe and not partcipate in communion, but he also presented an opportunity for anyone who wanted to follow Jesus as Lord to join the family of God before taking communion. Bren- dan was the frst to boldly move from his seat to the front of the room as an outward sign that His heart wants to follow Jesus! It was awesome to see Brendan welcomed into the Kingdom by an entre community who had together been on a year-long mission to overwhelm Him with Gods love! We are so excited to see Bren- dan grow as a radical disciple and freely give to others what He has received! Together we sow, and together we celebrate the harvest! Thank YOU for co-laboring with me through prayer and giving! When Kevin and I met in 2008 as students in Chi Alpha, neither of us imagined wed be- come best friends and partners for life, but Gods ways are so much higher and so much beter than ours! We both started our frst year in fulltme ministry last Fall and had the privilege of leading the missional community in the picture above as two single people mutually interested in discipling a group of freshmen...and mutually interested in one another. This May, we are both nearing the end of our frst 2-year term, but we are looking forward to beginning our next term of ministry together as a married couple!
