aprobare VW 501 01 / 505 00 sau aprobare MB 229.1.

Oil change 2.4D Caravelle

Put 200 - 250ml of Power Steering Fluid into the engine before you take out the old oil.
Let the engine run at idle for 5-7 minutes (until warm), then flush out the old oil, remove the
old oil filter.

Before you fit the new oil filter, just fill it with the new oil (not to the top, just 1" bellow top).
Put a bit of oil on the rubber seal on the new filter (go with your wet finger all around the
rubber seal).
Fit the new oil filter. Tight it by hand as strong as you can, then another 1/2 turn with the
ratchet (do not overtight).

Fill the engine with the new oil (about 4.5 liters).

Run the engine for 2 minutes.

Check the oil level.
If necessary add a bit more oil.

Total oil = about 5 - 5.5 liters.
I always buy 6 liters and so I have enough for topping up later.
10W40 mineral.
