THE ACTIVE FOR LIFE FINLAND PROJECT has implemented the national (Finnish) part of the multinational

Baltic-region BSR project. The project has created preconditions for as well as supported Finnish wellbeing
businesses in user-friendly service development, which has its starting points in the ever-increasing and
diversifying needs of the aging population, i.e., people aged 55 or older.
The project implemented a large-scale analysis of user needs in 2012 as well as an international innovation
and partnering event in Stockholm in March 2013. Forty companies from Finland, Sweden, Lithuania,
Germany and Denmark participated in the innovation and partnering event.
Furthermore, the Active for Life Finland project has arranged several training and coaching events for
companies in 20132014. Many of the events in 2014 have been implemented with CiDe Cluster. Myriad
customer-oriented development workshopswhich received good feedback from both customers and
businesseswere arranged, especially, in 2014. It was decided to apply the culture of experimentation to
developing Art Break activities and entrepreneurship, according to which operations were refned with the
help of small experiments. Training and coaching were also integral
parts of Japan track, which collected feedback on products by winners
of the Call for Ideas competition. Furthermore, in the course of Japan
track, a preliminary market survey of the Japanese market was made
in Japan.
