Berklee 5-week Performance Program

June 2014- September 2014

Received a scholarship for Berklee college of music to study music for 5 weeks.

Learned music theory and musicianship, later on performing with an ensemble at different venues.

Climate Change & Activism, HIVE Learning Network

Received a fellowship to study technological alternatives to climate change. Collaborated with my peers
to on series of field trips and activities.
Presented my work at the Eyebeam Art Gallery Chelsea

Assisted Camp Director, led camp activities for elementary and middle school, and collaborated with
fellow workers to get the job done in the best way.

Skills
Leadership: Showed leadership skills working at a summer camp for SYEP. I am also a very social person
and I am able to talk to people and help them. Also being able to speak two languages helps a lot in the real
world because I am able to communicate with a larger range of people. I make strong and right decisions. A

lot of people will label me as a leader because I have good problem solving skills and will always do what is
right.
A on time person: I love being on time and I am really good with managing my time and finding ways to get
the work done on time and the right way.
Awesome team worker: I know how to communicate and make a system work like a clock to make
something work correctly. Able to communicate with a group of people and figure out what each individual
has to do in order to get the job done. Good discipline and ability to listen and follow directions. Good
listener.
Reading skills: Able to read and write at a high level.
Math skills: Able to count and solve math problems that can occur in the real world.
Customer service: Worked as a volunteer Health Educator along with my mentor in Lincoln Hospital. Helped
orientate people and talked to them about ways they can stay healthy and maintain a good blood pressure.
Worked in a summer camp as a volunteer, taking care of kids. Also worked for syep in another camp.

mixing and scratching techniques.
Computers: Experienced in using Computers (Macs) to do several things. Able to program, design and create
new things. Experience using music software to create songs and instrumentals.
Bass player: Skilled bass player. Studied my instrument for about 3 years and attended Berklee 5 week
summer performance program in which I earned 3 college credits.
Solfege and theory skills: Able to read music and play it. Intermediate knowledge of Bass theory such as
scales and key signatures etc.
Producing: Produced beats for different skillful musicians. Produced a song that won a competition.
Editing: Can edit music tracks in different music software. Able to edit tracks and create my own music from
it.

Translated- Ive worked as a volunteer in Lincoln Hospital as a health educator. Ive help translate and
coordinate to people who speak Spanish in the community.

Designed- I designed my own game and programed it so it could be played. Then i presented it in a
exhibition.
Performed- Attended Berklee 5 week summer program and performed in several shows. Received a full
scholarship for this program.
Researched- Did research with creative activism in climate change. Helped find ways to protect our
