BITONG (SHANGYINGXIANG)

Chinese Name: Bitong (Shangyingxiang) (English translation: Penetrating the Nose)


Location: On the region of the face, at the junction of the cartilage of the ala nasi and the nasal
concha, near the upper end of the nasolabial groove.
Indications:

Rhinorrhea, soreness and furuncle in the nasal region.

Functions: Benefits the nose.


Needling: Subcutaneous insertion medially upward .3 - .5 cun.
