1. I am a very competitive individual, I have competed in multiple sports my entire life and I have a very
strong drive to win and succeed. I have been on teams and I have competed in individual sports so I
know what it takes to be a leader and to support a team. Yet I also know what it takes to motivate
myself and how to push myself to succeed.
2. I am very passionate about sports and music. The sports that I enjoy to watch and compete in
including; rugby, football, hockey and Olympic wrestling. I enjoy classic rock music not only on the radio
but I enjoy attending concerts to see my favorite artists.
3. I evaluate success by completing a goal; if that is winning a game, a championship or completing an
entire welding project. Only when I complete these goals do I realize the accomplishment and the
challenges that I had to overcome to succeed.
4. One of the hardest work situations I have ever overcome was in my grade 12 year in high school. My
manufacturing teacher asked me to weld him a maple syrup and he wanted me to do this because he
was unable to weld it. After a month of grinding out his originals welds, cutting new stainless steel sheet
metal to the size of gapes, building a backing gas chamber and doing the actual stainless steel TIG welds.
5. To handle stress and pressure, I slow down and make sure I am not rushing through things. I remind
myself that I am good at what I do and get what I need to do done.
6. My biggest accomplishment this far would be making it to OFSAA for wrestling. It is my biggest
accomplishment because for half a year I trained my body, regulated my weight and fought through
injury and challenges to make it to the All Ontario Championships.
7. My greatest weakness is my high expectations of not only myself but others around me. I expect
everything I do to be to the best of my abilities and to do better than I did last time.
8. My greatest strength is always trying to improve in my skills to overcome any challenges that is
currently in my way or challenges that I know will affect me in the future.

9. You should hire me because I have a great amount of experience in the field for being so young. I have
completed 3 years of high school welding courses having the highest marks 2 of 3 years. I completed a
CO-OP placement at HAI Waterjets in Trenton, Ontario for an entire semester. During the 4 months I
learned what it takes to weld at a professional level.
10. My salary expectations at the beginning of an apprenticeship would be around 60% of what my
supervisor makes.
