Inmyopinion,thismaphasthe

isprettyeasytogetaroundanduseit.

Therearealotof
hyperlink/interactiveplacesthatyou
cangotowiththemapandtheyeach
havenumberswhichareprettymuch
usedaslabels.

Thethirdstrongpointisthatthe
categoriesthatyoucaninteractwith
aresplitupintotwosections.The
sectionsare:Buildingareasand
AthleticsLocation.Thenthebuilding
areasareonecolorwhiletheAthletic
areasaremoreofanopaquecolor.
Thismakesitaloteasiertouseanda
loteasierforsomeonetounderstand
thismap.

creatingavirtualgalleryofcampuslifeoractivities(sports,arts,theater,studentlife,environment,technology,etc.)

InmyopinionIthinkthatthesentencethatIunderlinedaboveshouldbedone.ThereasonforwhyIsaythisisbecausethere
arealotofpeoplewhowanttoknowmoreabouttheafterschoolactivities.Iamactuallyoneofthem.Iamalwayscurious
andindecisiveaboutthembecauseIdontfeelthattheyaredescribedwellenough.Anotherreasonwhytheyshoulddothis
isbecausetherearesomepeoplewhosignupforanactivityandtheytryitforawhilebutthenaftertryingitforthefirstfew
weekstheystarttodislikeitbecausetheydidntknowenoughdetailabouttheactivity.Ifpeopleknowmoreaboutitthenthey
willmakewiserdecisionsaboutwhatactivitytochoose.ThenasIwassayingearlier,peoplethenquittheiractivitiesand
thentheycantsignupforothersbecauseitistoolatebecausetheotheronesarealreadyfull.Ifpeoplefindoutmoreabout
theafterschoolactivitiesandtherealmeaningaboutthem,thentheywillalsotakeitmoreseriouslyandpossiblyshowup
moreontimeandnotmissasmany.Inmyopinion,ifthereisnodescriptionthatreallydescribesitwell,thenotherpeople
willnotrespectitasmuchsincenoonewenttothetroubleofactuallytryingtoadvertisetheactivity.Mylastreasonisthat
evenfamilymembersparents,grandparents,friends,siblingse.t.cwillalsobeabletoseewhattheirchildorrelativeisdoing

andtheywillalsoseeifitisworththeirchildstimeornot.Soitwouldntjusthelpyourself,itwouldhelpotherpeopleyou
knowaswell.

Formyfinalproject,IwouldliketodoaninteractiveAISMsecondaryschoollibrarymap.Iwouldliketousepowerpointfor
thisinsteadofanywebsiteonlinebecauseIfeelthatpowerpointyouhavealotmorefreedomandthereismoreofavariety
andyoucanalsoworkonitwithoutinternetsoitwouldbereallyuseful.Iwanttodoitaboutthesecondaryschoollibrary
becauseIfeelthattherearequitealotofpeoplewhodontknowaboutthedifferentsectionsinthelibraryandhavetrouble
findingbooksanditwillbesomucheasieriftheyusedaninteractivemapthatshowedthemwhereeverythingis.Thiswould
alsohelpmegettoknowthelibrarybetterbecauseIamalsooneofthosepeople.Sotodothis,Imayhavetomakea
cartoonversionofthelibraryfrombirdseyeviewandthenputnumberswhichwouldbeeachsectionandthenafterclicking

Basedonmyresearch,aninteractivemapaboutthesecondaryschoollibraryatAISMcanbeveryuseful
especiallyforthestudentsbecausetheygettoknowthelibrarybetterandnavigatearounditandthemap
makesitaloteasier.Aninteractivemapshouldhavedetailsaboutthedifferentsectionsinthelibrarysothat
whenclickingonthedifferentsectionsontheinteractivemap,therewillbeseparateinformationtalkingand
explainingaboutthedifferentsections.Themapshouldalsoincludeafewbookdisplays.Butitshouldntonly
beaboutbooksbecausetherearemoviesaswellinthelibrary.IwillbeusingMicrosoftPowerPointandusing
hotspotsandhyperlinksinordertomakethemapinteractive.Myinteractivemapwillbemostlyforstudents
grades612sothattheycanusethelibrarymoreefficiently.Itcouldalsobeforparentsthatareunfamiliar
withtheschoolandwhowouldliketoknowmoreaboutwhatkindofenvironmenttheirchildrenarestudying
in.Thestudentsfromgrades612willbenefitfromthisbecausetheywillwastelesstimelookingforthe
differentsectionsinthelibraryandjustgetstraighttothepoint.
