This course will be taken in electrical machine, power, electronic and equipment major and it has four credit
hours of GPA . Contact hours are two hours for lecture and one for practical a week and also it has one hour of
tutor .The total hours for whole trimester are 56 hours . None prerequisite in this course, but basic information
about mathematics and physics . Finally , this Macro- Sequence is important for the next Macro- Sequence which
is Kirchhoff's laws and also the requires Macro- Sequence is Factors affecting conductor resistance .
1.1 Course Description :
This course describes six main topics :
Batteries.
DC circuits
DC circuits analysis.
Power Energy.
Electromagnetism.
Magnetic circuits.
Electrostatics.
This course has two main parts theoretical which explains the formula and the main information , the practical
shows them how can they connect the stuff on the connection board, analysis it and measure it. It contains a
knowledge and an explanation of batteries, DC circuits analysis, power energy and electrostatics . The main
contents for this course are: primary and secondary cells, Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's law, power, series and parallel
circuits , electrical charge , electromagnetism and magnetic circuits .

Content Analysis :
The trainees should have learnt and successful all lessons before start my lessons in series-parallel' macro
sequence . The series and parallel circuit in this lesson I will describe how the circuit work and what is
characteristics of circuit .the lesson do not have special rules use both rules in series and parallel use the series
if want keep the current same and if want voltage same . Many circuits have a combination of series and parallel
resistors. Generally, the total resistance in a circuit like this is found by reducing the different series and parallel
combinations step-by-step to end up with a single equivalent resistance for the circuit. This allows the current to
be determined easily. The current flowing through each resistor can then be found by undoing the reduction
process .They learned about series circuits and how to apply Ohm's law and Kirchhoff's voltage law. They also
saw how a series circuit can be used as a voltage divider to obtain several specified voltages from a single
source voltage. The effects of opens and shots in series circuits were also examined because that helps students
understand and have success on my lessons. Students learn the principles of parallel circuit, how to identify a
parallel resistive circuit, apply Kirchhoffs Current Law, determine total parallel resistance, application of Ohms
Law in a parallel circuit and determine power in a parallel. This is what students will be taught in this macro
sequence. The lessons from 5.1 to 5.4 are organized from simple to difficult and it related together as building
because the trainees must know how resistors connected in series and parallel before determine the voltage and
current in series and parallel circuit after that they will calculate the current in each branch by using Kirchhoffs
current law which in the lesson after, and they will have time to do some on applications of Ohms law. Also
calculate Current Sources in series and parallel , current dividers and power in series and parallel circuits, so
they have now good basic to do some applications activity in right way. These four lessons help them at this time
to get basics of series and parallel circuits, how connect circuits in purposes of series and parallel circuit , able
to make a voltage constant in electric circuit, understand the lessons coming such as complex circuit that mean
mix circuit , able to take some measurements in electric circuit . Also help them in future to analysis and find the
problem in simple electric circuits .

Didactic Analysis :
In this macro sequence, I want take students in level which they able to take some measurements in series and
parallel circuit , calculate the total current and resistance in series and parallel circuit , know the applications of
this circuit . The lessons taught through practice oriented examples and calculations tasks . Also the lessons will
be in different methods as group work in practical things which helps them to support each other and individual
work in calculating tasks . The lessons start by facing students a problem at the beginning to motivate them in
learning . The lectures will be just 20% of time and the other time it's for students . The media which used in this
macro sequence are PPT presentation, lap materials, Test board, Millimeter voltmeter, conductors . Also I will be
open mind with them and friendly and I will understand any difficulty for any student with trying to find solution .
Finally , this four questions for analyze the Macro- Sequence :
Q1.Which didactic approach do you choose ?
Inductive approach
In this Macro- Sequence we clarify the relationship between series and parallel circuits .
I choose the inductive approach because this approach motivate for trainees because I start with classroom
conversation and review about last two lesson . In beginning I start with lecture explain the easy mix circuit and
discuss and review with trainees with series and parallel rules . I show the trainees some picture how analysis
the circuit then choose partner work because two trainees help together and I use the experiment because show
the trainees how circuit work in fact circuit group work keep the group activity to work .
Q2.Which didactic principle do you choose ?
(Principle of motivation) & (Principle of methodological changes)
(Principle of vividness / clarity ) & (Principle of practical relevance)
Q3.Which action forms do you choose . Why ?
( Classroom Conversation ) ( Lecture ) ( Experiment ) ( Calculate )
Because trainer discusses the trainees to ask questions and get answers . Also the trainer try to give the trainees
meauermant the voltage, current in the experiment . In the binging of the lesson I classroom conversation maybe
write use Whiteboard If you some trainees not understand then I use the projector show the trainees some
picture and use the whiteboard and projector for show the trainees questions and answer of work sheet and
group work . I use the electrical board and DC supply and resistance. In the end of lesson I choose in summary
explain the different between series and parallel on table on projector .
Q4.Which social forms do you choose . Why ?
( individual work ) ( Grope work )
Because the trainer is the explanation then trainees solve the mistakes and help grope .

Q5.Describe step by step the different media and materials you use during the lesson .
Assessment / Evaluation :
- Ask questions
- Participation
- Task
Learning conditions :
1.1 Trainees :The trainees are quite good also, the trainees prepare knowledge about the lesson because they have loosen
before with my mentor or my friend . In addition, the trainees has high school before come to technical college .
The number of trainees are 30 trainees at the same time, the ages of the trainees between 18 20 years.
1.2 Classroom :It is a good classroom and nice. Almost all the media are available in this classroom such as white boards,
projector, smart board and markers . In addition, the classroom do not enough table but has enough chairs.
