sad or depress. Feiles confirms the effect of music in our everyday life, Music
unquestionably affects our emotions. We tend to listen to music that reflects our mood.
When were happy we may listen to upbeat music; when were sad we may listen to slower,
moving songs; when were angry we may listen to darker music with heavy guitar, drums,
and vocals that reflect our level of anger Feiles, N. (2014, June 24). How Music Impacts,
Helps Our Emotions. Retrieved October 17, 2014. Music can surge the feelings and
emotions you are going through most of the time. This could also be helpful for a selfexploration which is getting to know more about yourself. Have you ever asked yourself
who you are? Well music can teach you about unconscious elements in your emotional
structure. We often keep many things inside of us such as secrets and pain and mostly
memories. Despite the fact that we isolate each other to the people that surrounds us,
a melody could show the best and the worst of us making music more like a mirror.

Brown, Eryn. Music Really is like a drug Los Angeles Time 09 January, 2011: 3. Print.
Based on Los Angeles Times music can be so addictive that it could be seen as a
drug. Chills is the reaction of the drug called music and it has exist for thousands of
years. As a matter of fact chills involve dopamine, the same chemical in the brain that
is associated with the intense pleasure people get from more tangible rewards such as
food or addictive drugs. (Brown, pg.3). Apparently music could create a stronger
feeling compare to an intensive pleasure. Some people are now addicted to their IPods
and other mobile devices. Music could be interpreted as a high value all across human
societies and in this case, it could be an addictive resource.
Landau, E. (2013, April 15). This is your brain on music. Retrieve from
http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/15/health/brain-music-research/
The brain interaction with the melody and sounds is very amazing. Mrs. Landau
explains that patients who hear music and have a better connection with music had less
anxiety and lower cortisol than people who took drugs. Music could be consider as a
miracle since music in not expensive and it does not have side effects and it could be a
solution for some illness. The part of the brain that is concentrated in music is the
nucleus accumbens and thats what makes you desire some type of songs. The brain is
the most powerful resource that our body has and music is one of the best interactions
that the world has. Having the ability to cure and to create and destroy, by this we can
conclude music is more powerful than we thought.
