Introduction
today we will discuss the mini-vote we held last class, as well as watch the
video we never got round to viewing
Reveal the results of the mini-vote, ask students to consider their
reasoning for voting the way they did
Specifically ask those who voted for direct democracy to explain
their reasoning
Students will contribute to class discussion
Students will watch the film attentively and take notes on points
of interest
Students will reflect on the issues being discussed and share their
thoughts with those around them
Discuss results of Mini-vote
Film: The History of the Vote
Read and discuss pages 40 and 41 in the text
Students will reflect and share thoughts in response to page 40
Have students retrieve their handouts for the film and as well as their
textbooks

Students will complete a handout featuring key questions related

Handout will act as an exit slip
As a class read and discuss pages 40 & 41
