Office Automation

1) Office Automation is the use of computer systems to execute a variety of office

operations, such as word processing, accounting, and e-mail. Office automation
almost always implies a network of computers with a variety of
available programs.
2) Microsoft Word is a widely used commercial word processor designed by
Microsoft. Microsoft Word is a component of the Microsoft Office suite of
productivity software, but can also be purchased as a stand-alone product.
Spreadsheet applications (sometimes referred to simply as spreadsheets)
are computer programs that let you create and manipulate spreadsheets
electronically. In a spreadsheet application, each value sits in a cell. You can
define what type of data is in each cell and how different cells depend on one
another. The relationships between cells are called formulas, and the names of
the cells are called labels.
A database is a collection of information that is organized so that it can easily be
accessed, managed, and updated. In one view, databases can be classified
according to types of content: bibliographic, full-text, numeric, and images.
