The right hotel for IMB Canada

The IMB Canada is going to have annual conference in Toronto in May 2015, the
hotels that I would recommend for them are Trump International Hotel & Tower
Toronto, 325 Bay Street ,Toronto and Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel 525 Bay
Street Toronto. Both Hotels would tailor with board director and corporate staff
respectively. It is only eight minutes walk between those hotels. Therefore the board
director can easily walk to join corporate staff for lunch and morning sessions. The reasons
of choosing these two hotels for IMB Canada and recommended teambuilding events will be
discussed in this paper.
First, Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto, which is the world's finest luxury
hotel and located in the heart of Toronto's financial district, might be perfect suited for
the board director well for many reasons. It has 261 guest rooms and suites which range
from 550 to 4,000 square feet. There are three types of rooms as follows Superior and
Deluxe Guest room, Deluxe Suites and Grand Deluxe Suites. It also provides 12,000
square feet of function space Grand Ballroom & Foyer at 5,448 square feet Grand Salon
& Foyer at 4,640 square feet, Windows in all meeting rooms, Spacious pre-function area
and exceptional catering. Therefore it might meet requirements of guestroom and

meeting s room for the board director to stay in the Hotel. Furthermore , the hotels is
not only provides wellness and spa but also dining rooms such as Fitness Centre, The
Quartz Crystal Spa , STOCK Restaurant Bar & Lounge, SUITS Lobby Lounge In-Room
Dining and so on. Hence, the Executives can get relaxed and enjoyed their free time.
Finally, the hotel also provides Business Centre with Internet Access to assist business
guests so the guests can get assisted and information when they want to. The Hotel not
only provides great rooms but it also provides meeting spaces, health club and fine
dining room and business centre for its guests, so it might be best selected hotel for the
board of director.
In addition, Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel might be best suited for
corporate staff for several reasons. The hotel has 436 rooms, 25 suites 17 meeting rooms,
18,000 sq ft of total meeting spaces and 1 concierge level. The hotel offers hi tecology
business meeting rooms for the business traveller and the meeting space with highest
maximum capacity is Grand Ballroom with a capacity of 850 and others meeting room such
as Salon A ,B,C or D and Trinity Ballroom with a capacity of 380 and 150 respectively that
might be prefect suite for Corporate Staff for their accommodations and meeting rooms.
The Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre also provides business centre which offers guests the
copy service, fax service, full-service business centre messenger service, Network/Internet
printing, On-site business centre is staffed, overnight delivery and pickup. The High-Speed
Internet is also provided so guests generally access the Internet everywhere in the hotel to
do their business. The hotel also provides fitness centre and fine restaurants that business
travellers can enjoy and escape from their tried day.

Finally, the activities I would recommend for them to do as a teambuilding event

outside of the hotel where they stay are. First, Toronto Island is excellence place to visit for
teambuilding. They have to ride on a ferry together so it is good opportunity for them to
have small talk and get to know each other while riding on ferry. There are many activities
they can do at Toronto islands, such as outdoor and water sport that includes bicycling,
boating, canoeing, kayaking and beach volleyball. They can play those sports together as
mention to enhance teambuilding. Moreover, there are Far Enough Farm, Centreville
Amusement Park and festivals that they can do sightseeing. Finally, the Toronto islands are
a great place for sharing a picnic with friends while enjoying the natural environment and
view of the Toronto skyline (Friends). Picnic and BBQ might be good option because there
are BBQ stands and fire pits in islands so they can enjoy having BBQ and talking with each
other. In addition, another activity is watching sport events in Toronto such as base ball
because a team sport might help them to improve or heighten the teambuilding. For
example they can to Roger Centre to see baseball game. Visiting Toronto islands and
watching sport event might motivate them in the teambuilding because those activities
promote a teamwork and teambuilding.
