First, students will get a refresher on the planets of our solar

name, characteristics, and description with the inner planets.
Also, they will complete concept circles to help them with
the descriptions.

help them distinguish each planet from one another.

We will go over the PowerPoint I made along with doing the


group activity I have planned.
What questions will you ask to determine if students understand so far? What techniques
or strategies will be used to determine if students understand so far?

The students will complete their concept circle charts,


answer the questions on the worksheet, and use the
knowledge they learned to interact in the group activity.
I will do a quick overview of the inner planets taught and tell
the students to apply their knowledge when observing the
solar system.
I will ask the students if they have a better understanding of
the inner planets after the lesson. I will reinforce information
that was given if no better understanding is present.
The students will complete the Inner Planet worksheet I have
for them and the concept circle worksheets.
What can students do at home or in the classroom to apply the knowledge or skills? How
could you use your colleagues or community agencies to improve student performance?
