EDUCATION

ELIZABETHTON HIGH SCHOOL ELIZABETHTON, TN SENIOR

Throughout my four year journey at Elizabethton High School I have made sure to challenge
myself with a rigorous schedule, including Honors, Dual Enrollment, and AP classes. I have
been able to maintain my 4.0 GPA despite these trials and am currently ranked 1/190 in my
class. I also took care in choosing my electives to furthermore enrich my education. Many of
these classes influenced my volunteer work within the community and guided my decisions on
focusing on a career in the marketing field.

ACTIVITIES AND
LEADERSHIP

Page 2
Administrative Council of Watauga Point UMC
2011 Present
I served as the Youth Representative attending monthly meetings, and placing a younger
generations voice into the church. This position allowed me to present different community
projects to the church, in which the youth would take action through fund raising and mission
work. Some of these projects include a shoe drive, diaper drive, and our own churchs
playground.
CARTER COUNTY YOUTH LEADERSHIP
September 2013 May 2014
I was nominated by teachers and peers, and selected through an interview process to become
a member of this organization. This gave me the opportunity to travel across Tennessee
learning about local and state government, farming and agriculture, law enforcement, local
business and industry, medical facilities, and touring college campuses; all while learning
fundamental lessons on how to be a leader.

SERVICE

CROSS ROADS MISSION TRIP

July 2011
This was a tornado clean-up project in the rural area of Marion, VA. Our project was split into
two parts; one was to help repair an elderly ladys roof that had been damaged during the
storm. The other was to rebuild a porch for the local nursing home that had been demolished
by a fallen tree. I spent three days there in order to complete by both projects.
JUBILEE PROJECT
March 2012
This mission work took me to a rural area of Hancock County, TN where we were tasked with
repairing an old recreational center. I spent a weekend here working small jobs such as
moving furniture and laying flooring, but a majority of my time was spent digging a drainage
ditch to help maintain the property.
VETERANS DAY DINNER
September 2013 November 2013
A small group from Youth Leadership were able to plan and fundraise a free dinner to veterans
in their honor. I was placed in charge of fundraising and through communicating with several
local businesses successfully collected over $1,000. This money went towards decorations,
food, and the surplus was donated to the Chamber of Commerce to support Youth Leadership.
I was also helpful in advertising through a radio interview and handing fliers out at local
restaurants. The leftover food from the event was donated to a local womans shelter and the
county prison.
SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK
December 2013
I spent a day at the local Second Harvest Food Bank center bagging food that would be sent to
those less fortunate families that could not have bought the food themselves.

protect while the rest of us are safe asleep.
CARTER COUNTY CITIZENS MEDAL
February 2014 May 2014
My special topics class decided to make Carter County its own Citizens Medal of Honor. I was
able to assist through creating the medal out of plexiglass, fundraising over $500 through local
banks, helping nominate candidates, and aiding in the awards ceremony. We were able to give
five awards to deserving citizens who had yet to be recognized for their acts of valor in Carter
County.
SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM
May 2014 August 2014
I helped package and deliver three meals a day once a week to underprivileged children in the

nutrition in the school cafeteria.
