Activity #1

In groups of two give them some blocks to make their


own pattern. Have a piece of paper taped on one of the
desks EXPLAIN: they are not to write. After 5-10 minutes
of building patterns they are going to do a gallery walk
and write down one thing about what they see in a
pattern. 1-2 min and switch to new group.
Walk around watching the patterns form.
ASK, How is this a pattern?
