Objective
To express my interest in working for Hilton Worldwide Waldorf Astoria, where I would have the opportunity
to further my education of the fine dining sector of hospitality. I am very passionate about food and wine
service while studying Hospitality Management at the University of Utah. I am pursuing a career in fine
dining management, and aspiring to be a Food & Beverage Director. My goal from Hilton Worldwide
Waldorf Astoria is to learn as much as I can to further myself in my career pursuit. It would be a great
opportunity to learn from the Food and Beverage management team.

Experience
Waldorf Astoria Park City

February 2014-Present

Working as a server, I have been able to further my Food and Beverage skills while learning a great deal
about food and wine. I had the opportunity to become a Core Team Member for the dinner team in the
restaurant as well as participate in Train the Trainer, which allowed for specific team members to have in
depth training on how we can affectively train onboarding team members as well as how to make our
team the most successful.
The Grand America Hotel

November 2011-February 2014

I began my career at The Grand America by working in several retail shops where I was consistently
interacting with guests and anticipating their needs. In the summer of 2013, I was offered the chance to
work as a server for the Lobby Lounge, which is well know for its Afternoon Tea service. This is currently my
position within the company. There is also a light fare menu that we serve throughout the day, as well as
cocktail service.
Sandpearl Resort

July 2012-December 2012

Rated Four Diamond by AAA, we were held to the highest standard of hospitality. I was a hostess in the
Four Diamond restaurant named Caretta On The Gulf, which is attached to the Sandpearl Resort. I was
responsible for warmly welcoming guests to the restaurant, seating them at appropriate tables, as well as
managing the reservation database.
Cowabunga Bay Waterpark

May 2010-September 2011

Beginning as a ride attendant where I was required to manage guests waiting in line for the slides, as well
as ensure their safety before entering the slides. Shortly after, I was promoted to a Crew Leader where I
was also responsible for managing all of the other workers within a given shift. The next summer, I was
hired back as a lifeguard, where I was responsible for the safety of guests while swimming and keeping an
attentive eye to ensure that no one was in danger.

Education
University of Utah

August 2011-Present

I was accepted to the University of Utah during the spring of my senior year in high school. I was also
awarded an academic scholarship called Top Ten; this scholarship is awarded to high school seniors
that graduate within the top ten percent of their graduation class. When I entered the university in the fall,
My study emphasis is Hospitality Management, with the plan of taking all of the Food & Beverage
electives possible.
