Going on a Bear Hunt

Rationale: The objective of this

lesson is to use speaking voice with


dynamics and inflections to tell a story.

1. Tell the students to do what you do.


2. Put the steady beat into your feat for the song by marching in place
(anticipate that you will correct the students who will stomp very loudly
and not follow your pace.)
3. Once the steady beat is being shown in everyones march, ask the
students to repeat after you.
4. Speak through each line of the song using inflection and dynamics in
your voice to tell the story. Add appropriate motions.

What a beautiful day
