GOALS:

Short term, I will complete my Masters by May 2015 and would like to seek employment on campus where I
can not only contribute my knowledge and expertise, but also learn skills I would otherwise not have access to,
such as hands on experiences. Long term, I will continue to do research and work towards obtaining a PhD in
AstroPhysics with the ultimate goal of becoming a researching professor and running or developing a
Planetarium/Outreach Program.

DOCUMENTARY FILM/DVD 2009 Rocket Scientists produced by Scott Wiessinger


A 14 minute film funded by NASA Supplemental Education and Public Outreach award and Montana
State University The film explores the transition from high school to college, and shows college students
becoming involved in cutting edge scientific research with the MOSES rocket mission featuring Krista White,
REU Summer Intern. MSU distributed the film on DVD to public and private high schools throughout
Montana.

SOLAR PHYSICS INTERNSHIP
Bozeman, Montana
Montana State University Solar Research Center paid internship to collaborate on flight optics for the
MOSES (Multi-Order Solar EUV Spectrograph) rocket experiment with a 2009 launch into space of the
MOSES II rocket with optics package to study sun. Dr. Charles Kankelborg, mentor.
The goal of this project is to enhance the performance of the MOSES payload by developing new
instrument testing techniques. FUNDED: NSF Project important to predicting solar activity for human
space exploration and impact/ prediction of solar storms on Earth.
Appeared in documentary film Rocket Scientist produced by Scott Wiessinger. Distributed by MSU to
Montana public and private high schools.
