Technology Utilized
I want to see the influence that pop culture has on literature, and the impact that allusions have
on us as a culture/society/community etc.
Review/Closure/CSU:
I will have students verbally discuss what they took away from this lesson
I will connect on line of the poem with a previous lesson I gave on desire and Agency.
Students need an understanding of what perspective the poem is told i.e. literal and contextual
perspective. R.11.2.1.a-d
By interacting with the poem students will show mastery of R.11.2.3.c-d
Modification/Accommodation/Adaptations
I havent given the lesson, but I am concerned about time length
Reflection: I felt like the lesson could have gone much better, I tried to implement a
class activity, but recognize that I need to vary my instruction in order to engage all
learners in any given lesson. The lesson I gave could have been improved if I paid more
concern to the implementation and instruction of my Pop-Icon Activity.
