PROCEDURE
Introduction (__min.):
Hook/Attention Grabber: Show an example of a single point perspective piece. It will also include an example of
foreground and background. (Sit at the carpet)
Assessment of Prior Knowledge: Who has drawn things far away and close up before?
Expectations for Learning and Behaviour: They will work independently and they will try to use their own ideas.
Advance Organizer/Agenda: Agenda will be on board.
Transition to Body: Go back to desks and get a blank sheet of paper.

Learning Activity #1: Exemplar of single point perspective. I will draw an example for them on a piece of paper,
and I will explain how things that are far away appear less detailed than things that are close up.
Assessments/Differentiation: Assessment of their understanding will be thumbs up, thumbs down Then I will address any
questions they have and move on once as many students as possible understand the instructions.

Learning Activity #2: Students will draw their pictures. I will leave examples on the board and make sure there
are many to choose from.
Assessments/Differentiation: Observational assessments as I walk around the room and look at what they have drawn so far. I will
ask them questions about the elements of their drawings.
