Procedures
[Setup] Prepare slideshow with built-in sound files and creative photos to describe the different seasons
1. Start with a welcoming song to allow the students to become more comfortable, as well as to
incorporate singing into the music lesson. (Good morning song). Sing the good morning song to act out
the song! Waving and shaking hands with other kids.
2. Tell the kids that there will be a signal to be quiet (peace sign) and that every time they see the sign
they will be quiet and keep their eyes on me.3. Show picture of Antonio Vivaldi with a picture of the four
seasons all next to each other and explain that he wrote Four Seasons

4. In the slide show, include slides for each season, and have example song for each season as we hear
it, asking the children to act out each season.
5. Use the second part of the slide show to show what Vivaldi probably thought about the seasons
6. Have the kids act out each season as heard in the four seasons.
Extension(follow-up)
-To follow up on this lesson, I think the easiest was would be to do another lesson with a different piece
with a different theme, teaching in a different style. Some other ideas for different lessons might be
using carnival of the animals by Camille saint Saens, or using a tone poem. To connect the two lessons, I
could certainly refer back to the earlier lesson where we were acting out different scenes.
