There are many issues with using technology in the classroom. As a teacher I will have to make
sure to understand and enforce the usage of technology. I have to be aware of main topics to ensure
everyones security.
I will have to show my students that it is important to take care of public property. If a student is
not using their own computer, they must take good care of it and treat it like its their own. I will have to
enforce the Netiquette rules of thumb. I have to teach my students the basics of how to write a decent email to other people. I have to show my students the obligations in being social in society while using the
internet. This means I have to show my students proper public expressions and not to take negative gain
in any matter within their institute.
Culturally, students will understand the meaning of being a far Samaritan. They will use proper
language at all time when they are on line. I will inform them that what they do and say know can impact
then in a negative way in the future if they are not careful with their words or picture. Heres a theory I
found on line: Ethical theory provides a basis for all these things. It "provides a framework for (1) getting
at the underlying rationale of moral arguments, (2) classifying and understanding various arguments, and
(3) most importantly, defending a conclusion about what is right or wrong
.

As a student and a future teacher these important issues and topics are very important to

understand. As the world is relying more and more on technology I have to make sure I understand legal
issues and enforce the rules to my students. In the classroom I will make sure to provide equal access to
all my students. This will show them that I am being fair to all students and making sure everyone has fair
time on the computer and online. I will also make sure that when my students are on line that the
computers have filters for their safely and compliance with the federal Child Internet Protection Act
(CIPA).
Teach my students what computer crime is and understand communication issues.
Information and privacy are everyday issues that we come in contact with and dont even realize it. So in

this case I have to make sure my students are fully aware that you may look up people and public figures
but you may not invade a persons privacy. One of the most important rules that I will have to enforce are
citations. It is very important for my students to understand the importance of citing other peoples ideas
properly. This issue doesnt just go for individuals it also goes for companies such as Facebook, yahoo,
Google, etc. Copy right privacy is one of the most important topics of all time. As a teacher I must make
sure to teach my students that this can be a big issue if they do not cite properties correctly. This is such a
big issue that the cite I found to understand more about it is from the U.S government its self. If this is not
carried well, there are even legal issues and concrescences that can come from it such as fines and even
jail time. Computer crimes and communication issues are some of the biggest issues that the government
has to deal with. This is where the government has to step in and look out for terrorist and unwanted
crimes that can be dangerous to the nations people.
