The Kindergarten Times

January 2015
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year!! I am very
thankful for the blessings God has
granted me. I am blessed with a
wonderful class, team of teachers and
parents. My faith is continually
growing by watching Gods little
children develop and change each day.

What we did
December was an incredibly
busy month. After learning the song
We Three Kings many question arose
about where the kings were going. We
then read many books and were
learning about baby Jesus and how
and when he was born. The
kindergarten students created a book
called, I would give baby Jesus and
each child made their own page
describing what they would give baby
Jesus, a sword and a crown were
among many of the ideas. We have

been working hard learning our parts

for the Christmas concert. The
kindergarten class have been learning
all about Hawaii, ask your child, How
many islands does Hawaii have? For
Decembers kinder cooking activity,
the children made beautiful manger
scene or gingerbread houses. Our
Polar Express Christmas Party was a
big success. We enjoyed crafts,
games, stories and centers and a
feast of good food. Thank you to
everyone for bring in a special snack.

A Teachers Prayer
Each time, before I face my
class,
I hesitate a while,
and ask the Father, Help
me , Lord,
to understand each child.
Help me to see in every
one a precious soul,
most dear:
and may I lead that child
through paths of wonder not fear.
Dear Father, as they look
to me
for Christian guidance true,
I look to Thee and humbly
ask that
Thou wilt teach me, too.
Amen
