All of the genres I chose for my project include a descriptive piece, a photograph, an
interview, and a power point. I begin the multi genre project with the dear reader letter. This
informs the audience on my topic. It explains what my project is exactly about. All of the genres
are link together from the use of my repented, which is the aids symbol.
The descriptive paragraph informs the reader on the subject of HIV. I give common
knowledge about the illness. I progress into detail, the causes of HIV and what to do, if
diagnosed.
The photograph I use for the genre is a picture I took of a person holding a, I am HIV
positive picture. This is used as a voice of a victim or survivor. This simply is to make
awareness of the issue. The letters are in bold print to exaggerate the problem.
The interview is an interview of an anonymous HIV positive individual. I ask this person
many personal questions regarding HIV. For instance, I asked, how did you feel? Or how did
your family feel? This gives the readers a realistic insight on the life of a HIV positive person.
The individual also explains the kind of lifestyle they have to life because of the disease.
The power point list factual information such as symptoms, diagnosis, treatments, and
preventions. It tells what exactly HIV is and what it does. The audience can definitely educate
themselves about the disease from the power point.
