Activity:

explain to students that this activity is about the


experience and not to worry about making their drawing
perfect, because it is supposed to be fun
explain that you are going to have them close their
eyes and use their non-dominant hand to feel around their
face with your direction. as their hand feels, their pencil
will draw, trying to keep them moving at the same time.
have the students put their pencil down near the top
of the paper and at the middle (show on the whiteboard).
explain that they need to keep their pencil on the
page for the entire duration of the drawing
have them close their eyes and then lead them
through tracing their faces, starting at the hairline and the
top of their head and then all the way around their face,
including their ears, back to the top, down the middle of
the forehead to their right eyebrow, then their right eye,
across the bridge of their nose to the left eyebrow and
then the left eye, back to the nose down to the end,
around the bottom, and then down to the lips, and then
the chin.
