One pulse is created each time the single magnet on the spindle passes the Hall device. Op amp | along with resistors RI and R2 act as a comparator to convert the hall device pulse into a SV TTL type pulse which is used to clock three TTL negative edge triggered flip flops (FF) configured as shown. The Q output of each FF drives the DAC circuit of Op Amp 2 to produce an analog output voltage which is compared to a reference set by K1Z and R13.
