Monitor electricity usage in the classroom. Turn on and off all electronics at the
beginning and end of the school day (includes Promethean boards, excludes
teachers laptops and desktop computers). Determine the daily charge and report
the monthly total. Collect monthly electricity bill payments and brings them to the
banker for deposit. Research and creatively present ideas on how to conserve
energy and reduce the monthly bill.

Check the recycling bins and trash cans for appropriate materials daily. Increase
the school's awareness of the importance of recycling by creating signs and
flyers. Bonuses awarded for creativity and increasing reduction of waste and
reuse of materials (i.e. promote water bottle use, start a plastic bottle recycling
program for the school).
