I believe God created Man and Woman as a unique being in his image. Gen 1:26-27. Man
has personality, is a spiritual being and has a moral nature that was created in perfection
but was lost through the fall, and may be restored through Christ. God created man and
woman equally in his image. Gen 1:27; 5:1-2. If we were not like God, we could not
know him.
I believe the original created conditions were perfect, but they included free will which
made evil possible. Man is morally accountable before God for his behavior, he has an
inter sense of right and wrong. However since man has sinned his moral purity has been
lost and his sinful nature does not reflect his originally created condition but rather his
corrupted selfish nature that no longer continually glorifies God.
I believe that man is both body and soul. The human soul is created at the time of
conception. Ps 51:5. Man is both physical and non-physical. Mans spirit enables us to
relate to God, to pray and praise him, and to hear him speaking to us. Man has intellect,
emotion, free will, and conscience. These aspects together in one creature are unique in
all of God creation. Man has a moral responsibility to God, his Creator.
I believe man was created by God for his glory. Isa 43:7, Eph 1:11-12. We are to do all
to the glory of God 1 Cor 10:31. Without redemption through Christ Man is unable to
live for Gods purpose and is totally immoral.
