Identify problem
How do you know it is a problem?
Who are the experts and what do they think?

Chapter 2: Literature Review

Search databases
Identify key words relevant to the problem
Review articles and disseminate findings with other group members

Chapter 3: Statement of the problem in Jefferson County

Research the problem you have identified

Why is this a problem?

Chapter 4: Current programs and initiatives in place

What are the current programs in place?

Are these effective?

Chapter 5: Summary of interviews with leaders and stakeholders

Identify stakeholders in the community

Conduct brief interviews
Collect data if needed (questionnaire, focus group, etc.) Will need IRB approval.

Chapter 6: Analysis of available data/information and suggest strategies to address the

problem

Provide recommendations
Describe implementation and outcome
Describe future implications

Executive Summary: Summarizes each section of the paper. Write this last and as a group.
