THE PROBLEM :

When you install Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, Mint, Arch ) side by side with Windows (
7 or 8 or 8.1 ) it install the GRUB (GRand Unified Bootloader) which it s the boot
loader for linux this software give you the option after you start your PC to ch
oose to boot on the Linux distribution that you have installed or the boot on wi
ndows , if you delete the Linux partition (after booting on windows of course) y
ou can t boot any more on Windows because the bios will not find the Windows OS to
boot on it, so this is a way to safely remove Linux from your PC.
SOLUTION :
First you need to log in in windows, open you PC, the GRUB menu will appear just
like everytime you open it, boot on windows
Donwload MbrFix from www.sysint.no this a link directly to it http://sysint.no/p
roducts/Download/tabid/536/language/nb-NO/Default.aspx
Extract the zip file (because when you download the Mbrfix the file will be comp
ressed you need to extract it)
Execute the command prompt with administrator permission (to open the command pr
ompt go to search type cmd and the command prmp will appear)
1)type cd + the way where you extract the Mbrfix file that you have extract it for
example cd user/downloads (just to make sure that the mbrfix is downloaded and
extracted safely)
2)then type cd user/downloads/mbrfix64 /drive 0 drive size (this command show yo
u the size of the hard disk were you have installed linux, just to make sure of
it if you have just 2 hard disk but most in the general we have one disk)
3)then type cd/user/downloads/mbrfix64/drive 0 fixmbr /win7 /yes
4)then go to your computer and right click on it, choose manage and then go to d
isk managment and then delete the swap partition and the linux partition and fee
l free to make it a new windows partition for your data or just add it to the C:
partition)
And that s it, w your linux partition is deleted and you can boot on windows witho
ut any problem
