- Antioxidant(1)
- Antibacterial activity(2)
- Beneficial to most pathological conditions which includes, high cholesterol and
antiinflammation; complications related to diabetes and cancer prevention.(1)
Due to containing Anthocyanins and hydroxycinnamic acids

Extraction:
Methanolic Extraction

Aqueous Extraction

-2gm plant + 20ml alcohol in beaker

-2gm plant in beaker + 20ml D.W in beaker

-Put the beaker in water bath with covering by

-2 ml of glacial acetic acid
(CH3COOH) +
-1 ml dil. sulphuric acid (H2SO4)
- 2 ml of glacial acetic acid
- 1 drop of feCl3 sol.
- 1 ml conc. H2SO4
