1. Acquire text for the Wordle

 Copy and paste from a selection (can be something you type or find in an
article—keep in mind, it will randomize all words. Hyphenate any words
that you want to keep together. i.e. Joan of Arc → Joan-of-Arc.)
 Type out words you want to include (the more time a word appears in your
list, the bigger it will appear in your final product—in other words, repeat
words you want to appear most prominent on the page)
 Save your word list so that if you need to make changes, you don’t have to
start over each time. Wordle will reset after you click Go or if you click
the Back button.

2. Go to www.wordle.net

3. Click on “Create your own”.

4. Insert your text in the textbox provided. Click Go when you are ready.

5. Once your Wordle is created, you can modify the text using the tools above it.

6. Once you’ve gotten your Wordle to look the way you like, press the Print Screen
button on your keyboard. It’s above the number pad. This will place the image
you see on your screen into the computer’s temporary memory. Make sure you
are looking at the entire Wordle. If you don’t see it on the screen, the computer
won’t include it.

7. Open Word and change the page orientation to landscape. Do this by clicking
File>Page Setup>Margins (set to 1 inch all round)>Landscape. Click OK.

8. Press Ctrl+V to paste the image you captured onto your Word document.

9. You will need to crop the parts of the screen you don’t need. Right-click on the
image you pasted. Select Show Picture Toolbar. Click on the two “x” as shown
below. You will see the two “x” pictured in the toolbar above your cursor. You
will also see handles in the corners of your object. If you put your cursor over
those squares, press and drag the box smaller to crop off the parts of the image
you don not need. Once you’re finished, you can click outside the object to
disable the crop function.

10. Once you have your image cropped, you can resize it by dragging the handles out
toward the margins. Be mindful of the edges and don’t go beyond your printer’s
ability to print—it’ll cut off any part of the image that goes into this “no man’s
land”.

11. Save you Word document with a relevant file name denoting the content of the
document.
