Aha! Golden Retrievers, I just love those dogs! They make you
happy when your sad or lonely. They to tricks and stunts to keep you
entertained and they are just super duper fun to play with:) They call them
mans best friends.

What are Golden Retrievers?

Golden Retrievers are huge, cute, fluy, golden and just amazing!
But wait You say you dont know what they are? Well they are dogs.
Very very adorable dogs! At their birth their fur is white and then they turn
more golden. How big are they you ask? Well, male golden retrieves are
from 29 kg-34 kg, and females are from 27 kg-32 kg. They also shed a lot
so I recommend not wearing black clothing around them. They are also
very very playful. Retrievers are a type of breed. Like labrador retrieves
are the same breed as golden retrieves.

How to take care of your Golden

Retriever!

If you dont have time to take care of a Golden Retriever, I would not
recommend getting one, because you need to groom them a lot. Grooming
is when you bathe an animal, you brush their hair, and trim their hair.
NEVER shave a Golden Retriever. Grooming also means clipping their
nails. Don't clip them too deep inside, that way it can hurt them. If you are
lucky you can get a Golden Retriever with nice and clean nails. Golden
Retrievers can have a lot of ear infections so it is good to clean their ears
weekly. Remember taking care of a Golden Retriever can be very hard.

What should you feed your Golden

Retriever?

You should feed your Golden Retriever food. Dogs are really
attracted to human food so you may want to feed them a little of your food,
about a full human palm or less. One thing you don't want to do is feed
him a lot of your food! It is possible that they can get very sick. Feed your
Golden Retriever at 6-7 am for breakfast, and then for dinner feed them no
later then 5 or 6 pm. When your Golden Retriever gets older like 11 or 12
years old you can start feeding them twice a day. Feed your Golden
Retriever in the same place every single day because if your cat or your
kids will come they will stay more concentrated on eating their food.
Allow him to eat 20-30 mins a meal. When your dog does something good
or he gets hungry in the middle of his meals you can feed him some treats
that are good for him.

Best toys for your Golden Retriever

You want to purchase your dog good toys just like we kids like toys.
Some dogs like soft toys. Other dogs like other toys like hard toys that are
not going to break easily. If you have a pool you may want your dog to go
in it sometime. Because dogs like to swim in them. You may also want to
buy them pool toys because dogs like or even love to play in the water.
Thats all for toys. Dont forget to buy your Golden Retriever some toys.

Golden Retrievers can live about 11 or 12 years. Golden Retrievers

can get a lot of diseases like eye diseases or skin diseases. Sometimes they
can live longer but its very rare. Golden Retrievers can have sensitive
disorders. Their Undercoat and there outer coat can have allergic rashes
and infections. Check your Golden Retrievers skin very often. Take at least
5 mins to check their skin. Make sure to send him to the vet if you think he
has skin problems. Remember to groom him often and dry him very well.

 Tips on training your Golden Retriever !

First Step: Have patience Even if your Golden Retriever does

something wrong the first time or the second time dont scold them.

Second step: Give you Golden Retriever Dog treats that are good for
him. Make sure you feed them him only one treat when he does something
good.

Third step: By know they should know your name. So if you want to
call your Golden Retriever say Come Here (her or his name.) Hold a
treat up and pat your knees that way he will listen to you.

Fourth Step: Now we need to teach her how to sit. Make your dog
stay in front of you and have her focused on the treat. Hold the treat and
move it slowly towards the shoulders. The eyes of your Golden Retriever
will follow with eyes and slowly sit. Last, but not least, praise and give
your dog a treat.

Fifth step: Now we are going to teach your Golden Retriever how lie
down. Make your dog sit in front of you. Hold the treat in your hands and
slowly bring it down to the floor. As your dog starts to go down move it to
the ground level towards you. Once she lies down praise and give your dog
a treat.
