Do violent video games lead to real violence? Vice President Joe Biden
said during a PBS Newshour Fireside Hangout on Google Plus that there is
no hard data to prove that fierce video games can cause people to engage in
behavior that is antisocial, including using guns. Trigger-happy video games to
not lead to real violence because theres no hard data to prove that.
First, theres examples of whats been happening over the past few years.
Example 1 is in Dec. 14 when a massacre happened at Sandy Hook Elementary
School. Adam Lanza shoot 20 children at that school. Ive heard that Adam Lanza was
playing violent video games, but people say that the violent video games did not make
her do what she did.

for Disease Control and Prevention and other agencies to research the causes of gun
violence, specifying research into the effects that violent video games have on young
minds.

Finally, something happened on April 20, 1999 that I want to tell you. On April
20,1999, two Seniors walked into their Colorado high school carrying assault rifles, and
they opened fired. They shot dozens of people, but I think that it was because of the

video games they were playing. This is the only example I researched that was because
of the games.
Only 10% of people get real violence from wild video games, but 90% of people
do not do real violence after playing crimson video games. Do violent video games lead
to real violence? Theres examples of what Ive researched, but I already told you. I
believe that vehement video games do not lead to real violence. Thats what I got to tell
you today.
