GROWING COMPETITION AMONG YOUTH -competition is the essence of life on this planet; found not only only among humans but also plants and animalsjit's d basis of evolution; charles darwin rghtly said” strggle 4 existence...” - india has huge youth population, harnessing dis demographic dividend is important, competition has import role to play in dis - various aspects of competition among youth * school- wrote both positive and negative aspects e.g. lack of suffcient good schools, deprivation of weaker section... * college- lack of iit, aims type cllges ;low quality prvt cliges; jobless despite of having degree;weaker sections deprived... * jobs- clerk, bank, ssc, upsc ete. ; very few seats; protest against CSAT by hindi medium/rural bakgrnd aspirants who cmplained of being at dsadvantage in the competition as cmpared to eng mediun aspirants. * sports- unfair competition in sports as only few state gvts like haryana are promoting /funding sports and not all states. * arts - huge cmpetition in reality shws like indian idol etc. winners not able to make deir place in bollywood cz bollywood still dominated by d rich n powerful. -various efforts by govt at making the cmpetition fair- reservation for weaker sections in private schools; scholarship schemes; skill development schemes; panchayat khel krida yojna etc... - for govt's " make in india * vision, competitive youth a must, rising of a° chai wala" to the highest post f d entry has fired imagination of d youth and they are ready 4 cmpetition... - just like gold gains its shine only after passing through a furnace, similarly youth can be made more capable through competition; youth is not afraid of competition and belives in * korbo lorbo jeetbo"( work fight win) aprx 1000 wrds Fifty Gold In Olympics: Can this become a Reality for India ? - reality is the potentiality converted to actuality ; since india has vast potential, therefore getting 50 golds in olympics can become actual and hence real -mary kom , a woman in her 30s, a mother of two, from a backward region of d country with minimum facilities , can get a bronze medal , then y can't we produce many such mary kom’'s or better than her. - if a developing entry like china can rise to a dominant position in d olympics, india too can.. - however, there r several hurdles in india's path to excellence in olympics- mentioned 11 points in 11 paragraphs e.g lack of infrastreture, lack of adequate budgetary support, not taking care of retired sportsmen, politicisation of sports associations n award giving bodies- mentioned d recent arjuna award issue , banning of india olympic association for nt following international nrms , too much focus on cricket , sports still given secondary importnce and not primary like academics, sports still cnsidered taboo for lot of women, very few states like haryana focussing on promotion of sports,very few job opprtunities for sportspersons, winners awrded huge amounts f money n honour but losers nt taken care of etc, - in recent years, we hav seen better perfrmnce in olympics , vijendra kumar, saina nehwal, sushil kumar etc, if above hurdles are addressed , 50 or more gold in olympics can surely be a reality for india. apprx 900 wrds
