1.1 Understanding that push and pull are forces.
1.2 Understanding the effects of a force.
At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. State that push and pull are forces.
2. State that force cannot be seen but its effects can be observed.
3. State that a force can move a stationary object
4. state that a force can stop moving object.
Observing, communicating, Experimenting
1. Asks the pupils to use force upon the objects given so that their shape
changes.
2. Discusses with the pupils the type of force used.
3. Pupils work in groups to do the activities and to complete the worksheet
given.
4. Teacher guides the pupils to make conclusion that pushing and pulling is
a force.
5. Pupils complete the worksheet given.

3. Food Chain and Food Web
3.2 Synthesizing food chains to construct food web.
At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. Construct a food web.
2. Construct food webs of different habitats.
3. Predict what will happen if there is a change in population of a certain
species in a food
web.
4. Explain what will happen to a certain species of animals if they eat only
one type of food.
Comparing, predicting
1. Pupils watch a video showing what animals eat in a habitat.
2. Pupils discuss how to construct a food web from the set of animals and
plants picture.
3. Field study by observing organism found in a habitat around the school
compound,then
construct th food web.
