Treatment of Toilets Using MahaVastu Techniques

Compiled by Manoj Shrivastava (from the post dated Feb 24, 2014 on ME Group)

In Mahavastu there are multiple ways to correct a vastu imbalance (defect).

In this article I explain the different methods used to treat a toilet when it is causing elemental
imbalance for the client and he is suffering because of it. For the sake of clarity please note that
the toilet should be treated only when it is causing imbalance and the client is facing problems
because of it.
When correcting a Vastu defect there are three elements which generally come into play: the
element of the anti-activity, the element of the zone in which anti-activity is present and the
element of the remedy which is used to rectify the vastu defect. One should be careful to see
the relation between these three elements as per the creative and destructive cycles.
This can be further explained by taking example of toilet and its treatment.
Method 1:
Toilet is an activity of earth element and hence the anti-activity element in this case is earth.
Let us suppose that the toilet is situated in North so the element of zone is Water.
As per creative and destructive cycles, earth is blocked (destroyed) by Air and exhausted by
Space. The element which blocks the anti-activity takes precedence over the element which
exhausts it. So Tin/Green will be given first preference over Iron/White.
So colors and metals for these two elements can be readily used to treat toilets provided they
are not an anti-element to the element of the zone. In this example, tin/green of Air and
Iron/White of Space are both not anti-element to Water and either of them can be used to treat
toilet in North with preference to tin/green. If the toilet is in West, tin/green cannot be used as Air
is anti-element to Space and in this case Iron/White will be given preference.
Method 2:
Though toilet is of earth element it can cause a vastu defect in South West even if the element
of Southwest is Earth. In this case, the metal of earth i.e. brass can be used to treat the toilet
here. Alternatively Iron can also be used in South West.
Method 3:
If the element of zone in which the anti-element is there is separated by one element from earth
as per the creative cycle, than the intermediate element can also be used to treat toilet. For
example, Toilet in East can also be treated with Copper (Fire) as Air is separated from Earth by
Fire in the creative cycle.

Method 4:
In certain case studies in the course book, toilets are treated by the element of the zone
irrespective of its relationship to earth. For example, toilet in North is treated by Aluminum. The
rationale here is that in space surgery or elemental strip technique we are actually creating a
virtual wall along the three sides of the toilet seat to cut off that activity from the rest of the
layout, and this can be done safely by using the element of the zone.
In my opinion, use the above methods in the order of preference as written in this write-up, so
method 1 should be given first preference over method 2 and so and so forth.
Another important thing, many MEs have tried to treat the toilet seat on the wall in case of wall
mounted toilet seats. Please note that since you are virtually cutting off the area where the
activity is performed from the layout, the space surgery and elemental strip has to be applied on
the floor irrespective whether the toilet seat is wall mounted or floor-mounted.
A natural question which will arise in ones mind is What will happen to the elemental balance
of the zone on which treatment is applied, for example, Wont a depleted North become further
weak if we treat the toilet with tin? To answer that please bear in mind that here we are
treating the toilet and that is the priority. Enhancement or depletion of the zone is a by-product
of it. You can increase the strength of a zone (enhance) or weaken it (depletion) by several
other methods like color of tiles, walls, etc.
So for example, you can use tin in North even if it is weak as per bar chart and also apply grey
colored tiles in the toilet to increase the bar chart strength of the North zone. So these two steps
will ensure that toilet is also treated and North zone is also enhanced.

The same principles can be used effectively to remove any imbalance of Vastu.

Questions and Answers on the Post

Question: Well written. BUT in my knowledge latrine is a disposal activity.SOwhere ever it is
present it drains out those attributes also.SO to replace them or to guard them same
element or previous element is used to generate that element. ANTIELEMENT or
control cycle should not be used.WE have to balance only( USE power of VISHNU
not MAHESH for prosperity ,bacause LAXMI is with vishnu only.
MY meaning is that if toilet is in EAST side ,then there should have been no
treatment because earth has been destroyed by wood,Still we treat OR toilet is in
SW then also we treat them by replacing by earth.IT means it is leaking phenomenon
DONOT take it as earth like, its only draining whatever wherever it is present.SO only
enclosure of same or previous element suffice

Answer:

It still needs to be treated otherwise it may dispose off the property of that zone. In
this case it is treated by Tin (if in East) and Brass (if in SW). By treating it you are
creating a virtual enclosure around it such that it does not dispose off the properties
of that zone.

Question: Colour of tiles and wall in the toilet to be considered or not?

Asnwer:

The color of the tiles have to be considered with respect to zone and the relationship
between the element of the zone and element of the color (of tiles)

Question: For wall mounted toilet seats we should only treat on the floor of the toilet or can treat
both the way. Please explaian. Iif toilets is in West zone and wall mounted then we
have to place iron metal on both I.e. Wall as well as flooring right? OR only on wall.
Answer:

When treating a toilet using elemental strip or space surgery technique we are in
effect creating a virtual wall to remove the toilet seat from the rest of the vastu. Since
walls are made vertically so the treatment has to be done only on the floor whether in
case of floor mounted toilet seat or wall mounted.
