Responsibilities for each class described below: developed syllabus clearly defining
learning objectives and student responsibilities; student assessment and advising to ensure
student success in the course; lectures, projects, and assessment tools.
Acting
Vocal and body warm-ups plus improvisation are a part of each session. Projects
include monologues and scene work, with emphasis on understanding the material
thoroughly through table work and written character analysis papers. We finish with
an intro to Meisner technique and a lecture on the business of acting.
Theatre Appreciation (in class and online)
This is a survey course that focuses on theatres place in and importance to our
society through study of the complete mediumjobs, theories, history, and global
perspectives.

presentational skills, and story development.

Recruitment strategies: improvisation program to middle schools; Madrigal troupe
sang at retirement homes, hospitals, and on television; spring musical cast sang at
local churches.
