General
Committee
members:
- Work
in
special
interest
teams
to
coordinate
Team:MED
events
throughout
the
year
- Promote
Team:MED
events
and
trips
within
their
respective
year
level
through
lecture
theatre,
Moodle,
blackboard,
Facebook,
and
other
mediums
- Act
as
point
of
call
for
their
year
level
- Work
with
the
Resource
Coordinator
to
obtain
medical
equipment
and
supplies
from
hospitals
and
other
organisations
- Work
with
the
trip
coordinators
and
trip
participants
in
fundraising
and
other
trip
participation
- Attend
a
minimum
of
80%
of
monthly
meetings

if
attendance
requirements
are
not
met,
we
will
advertise
for
a
new
representative.
Certification
of
your
role
will
not
be
provided.

Resource
Coordinator:
TeamMED
is
involved
in
organising
medical
volunteer
initiatives
around
the
world.
As
part
of
these
trips,
we
source
medical
equipment,
medication
and
supplies
to
help
support
these
disadvantaged
communities.
The
role
of
the
Resource
Coordinator
will
include:
1. Establishing
links
with
hospitals
and
contact
persons
for
the
sourcing
and
retrieval
of
medical
equipment
and
supplies
2. Coordinating
the
storage
of
equipment
3. Liaising
with
Team:MED
committee
members
and
coordinating
General
Committee
members
who
will
assist
with
equipment
retrieval
and
storage.
4. Educating
the
wider
student
body
about
sourcing
medical
donations
and
equipment
promoting
Team:MEDs
role
in
this
and
providing
support
to
students
wishing
to
be
involved.
IT
and
Marketing
Officer:
The
role
of
the
IT
and
Marketing
Officer
is
to
uphold
and
enhance
the
image
of
TeamMED
and
to
foster
our
cause
through
promotional
and
publicity
activities.
A
major
project
for
this
year
will
be
the
further
development
of
our
website
(powered
by
SquareSpace).
Further
responsibilities
will
include
the
enhancement
of
our
social
media
outreach
and
aiding
in
advertisement
of
our
events
and
activities.
This
may
additionally
include
creating
promotional
materials
(e.g
posters)
for
our
various
events
and
we
may
also
need
assistance
with
photography
coverage
in
certain
cases.

Officer:
A
new
role
for
2015!
The
role
of
the
Evaluations
Officer
will
be
to
build
upon
the
work
from
2014
in
the
efforts
to
devise
and
implement
an
effective
evaluation
process
following
our
overseas
trips.
The
purpose
of
this
role
is
to
ensure
that
both
the
students
and
the
community
members
we
meet
are
benefiting
from
the
experience
and
our
actions
are
doing
no
harm.
This
will
be
a
very
exciting
role
with
a
huge
scope
to
improve
our
trips
and
benefit
a
large
number
of
students
and
people
around
the
world.
