Henry Lloyd was one of the first muckrakers, he helped the public in many ways including
throwing out the corrupt governor William Tweed of New York and also published 4
books exposing corrupt corporations.

Lincoln Steffens was one of the earliest muckrakers during the progressive era. All of his entries
and documentations went into a book called "The Shame of the Cities.". He never gave
up being muckraker from the time he started.
