Objective
I am actively seeking full-time employment as a teacher in a primary school classroom. I am currently in the
process of completing my bachelor of elementary education degree at the University of Alberta, and will be
graduating in June of 2015. I believe that as a newly qualified teacher, I have a lot to offer in the classroom. I
have learned, practiced, and taught many new learning strategies and techniques that accommodate a
variety of learners. My upbringing and education in Canada has influenced and shaped my perspective on
diversity in both the community and in the classroom. As a Canadian citizen and teacher, I have a lot of
experiences and traditions that I can effectively share with students and a school community. I believe that
teaching abroad is a great opportunity that will allow me to share my teaching values and practices in a new
environment that supports and encourages global awareness.
