Making 5.2.1 applies acting and performance techniques expressively and collaboratively to communicate dramatic meaning 5.2.3 employs a variety of dramatic forms, performance styles, dramatic techniques, theatrical conventions and technologies to create dramatic meaning. 5.3.3 analyses and evaluates the contribution of individuals and groups to processes and performances in drama using relevant drama concepts and terminology. PART A Students will form groups of 3-5. Students will use playbuilding to devise an original performance of approximately 6-8 minutes long using the following stimulus for the performance: Music Fairy tales Digital Footprints Each student must individually document the playbuilding process in their Digital Logbook as well as comment and collaborate with their groups. Students must ensure that they document all steps of the process as outlined in class and on the class website: https://sites.google.com/site/dramaology The logbook must have entries that record your groups thoughts and ideas, reflect upon your process and the decisions your group makes. Document any research you find that is relevant to your Playbuilding piece. PART B Perform your 6-8 minute Playbuilding performance in weeks 9-10. Students must wear drama blacks or a costume when performing. The performances will take place in weeks 9 and 10 in our double lesson. Groups will be selected randomly by me. Logbook must be completed by the last drama lesson in week 10.
