Solution point for an equation is what you plug in for x and y for the
equation to be true (or be satisfied)
Analytical approach is solving for y. (e.g. 3x+y=7, ->y=7-3x)
X intercepts: how to solve for x intercepts->Let y=0 and solve for x.
Y intercepts: how to solve for x intercepts->Let x=0 and solve for y.
Symmetry for a graph w/ respect to the y-axis, when (x,y) is a point on
the graph, with (-x,y) also a point of the graph.
o How to find symmetry: plug in -x into equation and see if new
equation equals old.
Symmetry for a graph w/ respect to the x-axis, when (x,y) is a point on
the graph, with (x,-y) also a point of the graph.
o How to find symmetry: plug in -y into equation and see if new
equation equals old.
Symmetry for a graph with respect to the origin, when (x,y) is a point
on the graph, with (-x,-y) also a point on the graph.
o How to find symmetry: plug in -x,-y into equation and see if
new equation equals old.
