I am Elmer Luigi B. Lozada Jr., a graduate of B.S. Physical Therapy in the University of Santo
Tomas and also a newly licensed physical therapist. I am writing this letter to explain my purpose
in applying to your institution. My career objective is to fulfill my childhood dream, to be an
ophthalmologist, and to achieve this goal; I am planning to attend to UST-Faculty of Medicine
and Surgery.
I earned my B.S. Physical Therapy degree in the same institution, the University of Santo Tomas
College of Rehabilitation Sciences, last March 2014. UST-CRS provided me with a variety of
medical experiences during my internship years. I had many opportunities to develop my patientrelation skills and also the subjects and courses that I took, especially the medical and surgical
conditions, had been one of my interests during my undergraduate years.
I am applying to your institution for several reasons. First, your institution is the best medical
school in the country and I know that UST-FMS will provide me the best quality education and
skills to become an excellent doctor. Second, your program has a very good reputation for its
clinical and theoretical applications. Lastly, even though the population of students are quite big,
theres no doubt that UST-FMS is always the top performing school in the country.
I strongly believe that UST-FMS is the ideal place for me to achieve my goals. Thank you for
