Active Directory Service

Active Directory is a logical Structure service which will be use in MSTD for the Authentication,
Unified Messaging and Email Services. MSTD will have four AD Server at two locations that is
PDC and DRC on the Virtual based system that is Hyper-V 2012 and Rest of the Active
Directory server will be deployed as per the MSTD requirement and User Supportive Location.
Mahavat.gov.in domain name which will in continuation for this new AD structure. Each user
will take the advantage of Active Directory service for (Eg :- User login , SSO , Email Services
etc.)
Users which are using the Active Directory Services will also having the Restriction for
accessing some of the Physical or logical structure, Software or web application as per the
MSTD policies and requirement. This restriction will be applied through Group policy.
Windows 2012 Active Directory Service works on the modifiable and extensible Schema basis.
The default Shema will modified at the time of installing Exchange 2013 for enabling the
Addresslookup of the user for accessing the mail and Unified massaging.
Windows Active Directory service work on zero Downtime basis for the Existing users,
Replication will be happen after each 15 Minutes between Primary ADC and other Site near by
location as per Site Structure,.
DNS will be an Active Directory Based and the DNS Zone logs will be Captured and replicated
to each AD server. The Primary Active Directory Server IP address will be used as Primary DNS
for the entire Users who account is created in Active Directory.
Active Directory Service includes all the location Site in the logical structure of MSTD were AD
service reachable, Global Catalog Services will also be enabled at the far Site and also the Site
were Exchange Server deployed.
Users Login ID and Password will be work as per the Active Directory Polices and each Active
Directory User will get the prompt to change the password as per the policy define in the Group
Policy.
Active Directory Server will also act as supportive Service for Eg :- Address lookup and Witness
for Exchange 2013 , Unified Messaging for User Chat Process and other voice services & SSO
Authentication.
Delegation Rights, Distribution Groups , Security Groups Will be maintained as Per the Process
in Active Directory
Backup of Active Directory Service of the Primary Server will be done on daily basis for DR
purpose.
