Dear Friends and Family:

Glen and I are excited about our opportunity to go on a Mission Trip this summer to Nairobi Lighthouse Church
in Kenya. We will be working with their outreach and childrens ministries but what makes this trip even more
exciting is that Nairobi Lighthouse is the church that sent our Lead Pastor back to the States to plant our church
17 years ago. We are very excited to see Pastor Don and Amy Matheny at work and to pour into the
community that has impacted us in such a major way. Without Nairobi Lighthouse there would be no Life
Church of Memphis and we are blessed to have the opportunity to bring our gratitude and blessings back to
Nairobi.
Our Church has a tremendous heart for Missions and this year we are sending 10 groups on short term mission
trips, including 2 trips for our High School students to the Birmingham and LA Dream Centers. We leave for
Kenya on July 1st and will return July 10th along with 10 others and we want to provide you the opportunity to
partner with us!
Our trip to Kenya is $3500 each; $7000 total and weve already started fundraising and have a Team Kenya
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny fundraiser in the works. We believe that through prayer and fundraising both of
us will go to Kenya and that our entire $7000 cost will be covered.
If you would like to partner with us, you can do that in several ways:
1. Pray for us: Our greatest desire while in Kenya is for Gods plans to be accomplished through us and
our team. Leading up to the trip, please pray for team unity, financial provision, safety and for Gods
love to be evident. God can make a way for these things once we communicate these desires and
believe!
