The assignment I chose was the one where I had to explain and analyze a strong and a
weak public opinion poll. This assignment in particular was very challenging and rewarding at
the same time because I learned how to distinguish the information of polls to be whether strong
or weak. I always thought polls are not that important and only just shows us the given approved
or disapproved data. For determining a poll to be strong, first of it need to have a good amount of
participants and the population type or area. What I have learned was that it takes the topic and
percentage wise of the votes to determine if the poll was supported to its entirety. The basic of a
weak poll was simply the lack of approval ratings and whether if the subject is benefiting the
state or country. Besides analyzing in this assignment, some things I would consider doing that I
did not was if I specifically explained my observations enough to allow the reader to agree with
me. Either way, I did grasp on the topic at hand about inducting arguments within the public
polls. A few goals I have in mind on future assignments would be to effectively analyze and
spend more time on it. The fundamentals in this assignment will be useful for other classes, too
because it is a major factor in most of the courses and this will greatly benefit me in the long run.
I feel that the lessons leading up to the assignment was a great help in guiding me and provide
the necessary information because inductive argumentation is still hard for me. Overall, this
assignment help me see more in public opinion polls rather than percentages and ratings.
