My Course Reflection
Before enrolling in this course I have not really made any specific goals related to this
subject. I just wanted to do the best I can to get a passing grade but throughout the course I
thought to myself speech is an important skill and it relates to argumentative benefits and
increase the ability to talk more formal for my future. I have learned a lot about the inner
contents of speech that consist of how to communicate, appeal to the target audience, make
proposing topics, etc. What made me grasp knowledge more was the issue proposal project
where I had to identify a common issue and support it with various claims and problems. This
project really allowed me to delve deep into a problem and showcase its harms, advantages,
benefits, and how it would help the primary target.
Some skills I have learned throughout this course is the knowledge of using an online
portfolio website because I have not actually been required or accessed this even on my freetime. I think it really assist in showcasing me and my academic process. Another thing is, that
being familiar with the audience can greatly help on the proposed topic of making a claim clear.
With speech it is important for me to understand the process of proper communication in a sense
that me as the speaker will have to adjust to certain factors in presenting myself more better.
Towards the end of the course I feel that along the way was very smooth and the lessons for each
week were very well constructed and is simple, yet the amount of education was a lot.
