Oral Presentation of a Memory Box

Harper Lees To Kill a Mockingbird

Memory boxes are keepsakes that contain personal items that are
important to the person who created the box. They are created to
preserve a piece of the past, to relive events and to remember.
While

reading To Kill a Mockingbird, you may have identified

or have been intrigued by a certain character in
the book more than another.

Based on the character that you have selected for

the study of the novel mentioned above, you are
asked to gather objects relating to the behaviour, the qualities, the
emotion and the connection that your character may have with
another character. Items should include a variety of different pieces
such as letters, photographs, objects, to name but a few possibilities.
In essence, your memory box items should reflect the character you
selected (either physically, morally, their hobbies.)

You will be asked to present between eight and ten items of your
choice from your memory box and explain to the class the reasons why
you selected these items, keeping in mind the correlation between
your character and the novel. It will show your in-depth knowledge of
your character based on the novel.
You are invited and strongly encouraged to decorate your box.

Your presentation should be creative and last approximately three to

four minutes. Oral presentations will commence February 25 and the
order of the presentations will be selected at random. All memory
boxes must be handed in and left in class on the first day of
oral presentations.
