Dear KG1 Parents,

We hope you all enjoyed the long weekend. Just a reminder that all the KG1 classes will be going on a
field trip this week to Little Explorers. KG 1 A,B,C, and D will be going on Monday and KG 1 E,F,and G will
be going on Tuesday. If you have not done so already, please send the completed permission form and
80dhs fee to school on Sunday. Thank you.

Our Unit of Inquiry How We Express Ourselves

We will be wrapping up our second unit of inquiry this week. Our central idea has been: Through play
we express our feelings and ideas to help us come to new understandings.
We will conducting our summative assessment. Students will be creating their own game or sharing
with the class their favorite game or toy, speaking about the function of the game or toy, the
materials they use to play the game or with the toy, and share why they like it in detail.

Language
We will focus on the letter U.
The will explore its sound and words that begin with the letter u as well as Constant vowel constant
(CVC) words that have u as the middle letter.
Vocabulary words for this week: umbrella, up, under

Mathematics
In Math this week, we will be discussing number order. We will work on the skill of what number
comes before or after any given number as well putting a group of numbers in numerical order.

This week in Arabic week we will learn the letter Raa and they will recognize new words related to
this letter.
